Upload Guidelines
This page explains the guidelines for uploading images to gsbooru. Failing to follow these guidelines can result in a ban.
Gsbooru is primarily for safe-for-work anime-style or anime-related artwork.
Please only upload high quality art that is finished and published, please no new artists or sketches.
You will just find the image will be removed, this is not a place for new artists to get critique on their art. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Prohibited Content
- Non-anime: This site is only for Anime, with the exception of cosplay.
- Non-anime styled 3D: Any 3D material that doesn't look anime.
- Spam or intentionally misleading uploads
- Watermarked images stating not to reupload them
- Images that violate the site Rules
Image Quality
Uploads should be reasonably high quality. Avoid uploading:
- Heavily compressed or blurry images
- Tiny images with very low resolution
- Images with excessive artifacts
- Duplicate uploads of existing posts
Tagging
All uploads should be tagged accurately with at least 5 tags. Tags help users search and organize content.
- Add relevant character, artist, and subject tags when possible
- Avoid incorrect or misleading tags
- Use existing tags when available instead of creating duplicates
Ratings
Every upload must be assigned the correct rating. See the Ratings page for details.
- General – Content suitable for all audiences
- Sensitive – Content that may include mild suggestive themes
- Questionable – Content that includes suggestive themes but remains sfw
- Explicit – Content that is nsfw, which should never be uploaded
Uploading Questionable images will be under heavy scrutiny by moderation, continued abuse will result in a ban
Source Information
If possible, include the original source of the image such as the artist page, website, or social media post. Providing sources helps credit artists and verify the origin of uploads.
Moderator Actions
Uploads that do not follow these guidelines may be edited, rated differently, or removed by moderators.
